Green Rhythm of City: A Subverting Sales Center

Combining Sustainability and Client-Friendly Environment

The design team led by Chao Yen Chen has created a unique and sustainable sales center that challenges the traditional concept of sales centers. By integrating nature-inspired design elements, this project, named Green Rhythm of City, offers a friendly urban landscape and a subverting sales center experience.

This 486 square meter sales center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a testament to the fusion of architecture, landscape, and sustainability. Unlike traditional sales centers that focus on exaggerated designs and are demolished after the sales period, Green Rhythm of City aims to create a friendly environment that can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

The design team took a bold approach by allocating 50% of the site to landscape and 50% to the building itself. This design direction allowed for the seamless integration of trees, landscapes, and houses, resulting in a harmonious blend of nature and architecture. The building features large slopes and green parks, highlighting its long-pointed shape. The entrance deliberately uses landscape art to showcase the relationship between the green ramp and the building, creating a visually striking and inviting entrance.

One of the key features of Green Rhythm of City is its emphasis on sustainability. The design team combined semi-permanent buildings with a carefully designed environmental slope terrain to enhance the green environment. The use of landscape art and green garden roads further beautifies the streets surrounding the sales center, creating a pleasant and sustainable urban landscape.

In terms of functionality, the sales center is designed to optimize the commercial behavior of sales. The entrance is divided into two ways: one connects the outdoor exhibition space on the second floor with a sloped green parkway, while the other serves as the main entrance of the sales center. This interactive design integrates the building and the slope environment, providing visitors with a unique and immersive experience. The exhibition space on the second floor is also in line with current trends, allowing visitors to take photos and share them on social media, generating additional publicity for the sales center.

Overcoming creative and technical challenges, the design team successfully created a spatial effect of depth of field by using daylighting and the visual landscape of the external slope on the side of the building. This adds a sense of depth and dimension to the space, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.

Green Rhythm of City is a testament to the power of innovative design and sustainable practices. By subverting the traditional concept of sales centers and prioritizing a client-friendly environment, Chao Yen Chen and the design team have created a sales center that not only meets professional and industrial requirements but also contributes to a better world.
